Hurricane Information:

"Meteorologists say the 2001 Atlantic hurricane season
will be a busy one. They expect above average activity, during
the season, which runs from June 1 until November 30.
In an average year, nine tropical storms typically
form. Six of them become hurricanes, and two of those become
intense hurricanes. While all meteorologists won't estimate
exactly how many tropical cyclones will form this season, many
forecast more than those average numbers."
